Composer Masterworks Volume Two: Brahms, Chopin, Mendelssohn
Bach’s Goldberg Variations was a highlight of Jean Tews’ repertoire. During her time at Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music, she performed the work by memory; a rarely accomplished feat. For more than forty years, Tews continued to perform and perfect the piece; it remaining forever among her favourites. Volume Two of the Masterworks Collection — Bach’s complete Goldberg Variations – is the result of a lifetime of work from one of the world’s great pianists. Listen to and share the tracks below.
